 Buffy = The Slayer, The Chosen One, the only person in their generation to fight against the forces of evil.

Angel = The vampire, the only one of its kind with a soul, the only one with it's humanity. The thing that Buffy has sworn to destroy. The thing that's on her to do list. :) [personal note: i'm not really familiar with this story so I'll just tell what I know. As soon as i get through most of the re runs, i think i'll get the hang of it. So please bear with me for now. :)]

Buffy and Angel. Slayer and Vampire. One of the best warriors on earth. Together they're an unbeatable team. But if they let they're love for each other go too far, Angel will lose his soul and reek chaos everywhere. This has happen once before and only once.

Angel lost his soul, the soul that was a curse put on him when he drank a gypsy girl, and in one night, he became the monster, Angelus. He killed Gile's girlfriend, Jenny Calendar and terrorized all that was close to Buffy. When he called upon Acathla (sp?), the only way to destroy Acathla was to kill Angelus too. By that time, Willow was able to curse Angelus again, and Angel came back w/o knowledge of what happened. But he could not be saved, so Buffy stabbed him with a sword and sent him into hell. He came back and it seemed to him that he spent eternity in hell when it was only months. At first, he came back in a rage and Buffy had to conceal him, but soon everyone found out. Everyone still resented him, well really disliked him except for Buffy and Willow, even though he had tried to kill her also.

Now Buffy and Angel know that they can never be together because their love is forbidden. Everything will go like before if Angel ever feels happiness. So they can't be together anymore yet they can't fight their feelings for each other. Soon they separated and Angel moved to LA and Buffy stayed in Sunnydale, each of them fight evil on their own turf.

Okay, I still don't know this story very well, so I'm going to find a site where they tell a better story of this and I'll link it but we must all bear with my version for now. Hehe. :)
